Acqua Di Gioia from Giorgio Armani

What are we without fragrance? Smelly! This statement has made women around us spray themselves with so much perfume that can wake up an unconscious person. Fragrances aka perfumes are probably the most selling beauty products. We can’t imagine ourselves without our favorite fragrance to make the day go by.

Acqua Di Gioia from Giorgio Armani is their new fragrance that draws inspirations from both the land and the sea which explains the Aqua in the name. The new Giorgio Armani fragrance is an essence of joy extracted from the very heart of the elements. It celebrates Woman and Nature and wearing the fragrance would mean for women to make all of their senses awaken. Giorgio Armani had this idea of making a fragrance that is inspired by the relative islands where he likes to relax and gain back his energy. These islands are places where rainwater and sea spray blend together creating a liquid that automatically awakens you up.

Surprise! Calvin Klein recently unveiled their new line of shoes or rather sandals, classy sandals. We are sure you will love them as much as we do. These sandals have crystal-studded straps across foot with silver-tone chain trimming, a silver-tone buckle-fastening ankle strap, nice cutout at sides of ankle and stitched seam detailing. This batch measures about 4 inches, their heels that is. They are perfect to be worn at a dinner or function. If you are even more stylish, you can wear them to work.

There are the other sandals that are slightly different from the ones we are talking about above. They are classy white sandals that comes with a T-bar strap with a silver-tone trim, a silver-tone buckle-fastening ankle strap and a logo-engraved plaque on sole. This batch has heels that measure about 4.5 inches.

Also on the list are the sandals that are open toe, crossover straps across foot, a silver-tone buckle-fastening ankle strap with a metallic silver panel, a logo-embossed silver-tone plaque on sole and stitched-seam detailing. These measure about 4.5 inches, the heels.

David Bitton’s Collection at the LA Fashion Week

At Brand Equity Showroom’s LA Fashion Week show, David Bitton showed off his designs for the fall this year. It was a nice and relaxed show though at the beginning we were both anxious and excited to find out what will be in store for us. The line of designs he’s about to show is named Buffalo and it consists of high boots, chains, puffy jackets and a mixture of leather. The show had the mid 1990s look with chains hanging from the jeans and boots that cover the knees when wearing the jeans.

We certainly saw guys hanging around in these styles back then when we were teenagers. However, the look might not be that tempting in today’s time. Wearing boots that cover the knees certainly makes the men look like they are about to go horse ridding.

For the ladies, we saw strapless mini dresses, cropped jackets, tiny vests and boots, all of which had a blend of leather. Nevertheless, if you find this line interesting then head over to Bloomingdale’s stores to get yourself some or to have a closer look at Buffalo.

Wear the Miracle Jeans to look thinner

Think you look too big when you wear your jeans? Or maybe you’ve put on a little bit of weight and can’t fit into your jeans. Well, here comes the miracle jeans to your rescue. Wearing this pair of jeans is said to make you 5kg lighter than your normal weight. These babies are selling like hot cakes at the price of $260 and are currently on sale in Australia. See if you can import them online if you are not living in Australia.

Created by Miraclebody, these jeans were apparently inspired by shapewear undergarments as said by its manufacturer, Jay Feigenbaum. Basically, these miracle jeans are aimed at women who had concerns about post-baby stomach flab and excess weight around their waists. Though don’t expect this item to be magic or work magic on your body’s fat. What it does is it can flatten your behind and not make the excess fat noticeable.

New Gucci Tribeca Medium Shoulder Bag

Some time back we talked about the new Gucci bag and how Gucci rarely changes style. This time around, we have with us the new handbag from Gucci named Tribeca Medium Shoulder Bag. We have mixed feelings about this bag though. On one hand, we feel that this bag is trying to be modern, in terms of the design and all that, we want share that feeling but on the other hand, looking from far, it doesn’t appeal to us still. But, don’t judge our fashion taste alone. We all have different taste. We are sure it will more appeal to people living and loving today’s fast evolving fashion.

Yet, let us move on and describe the bag better for those who have fallen in love with the picture above. The bag is made of an innovating design with Gucci’s classic touch here and there. The bag measures 10.2-inch (L) x 7.5-inch (W) x 8.3-inch (H). The bag is currently available now in stores for $1395.

Another surprise for you, the pants are all ultrawaterproof, yay!

Madonna will now design sunglasses

The other day we posted news on how Madonna and her daughter, Lourdes will create a fashion line for teenagers. Now, we hear again that Madonna and her manager have collaborated with Dolce and Gabbana to create a new line of sunglasses. Is this a sign that Madonna will soon be retiring from her beloved ‘arts’? We have been hearing reports on how the former material girl was replaced by new faces as spokesperson for a couple of brands.

Prada Fragrance’s new Face is Lara Stone

Model Lara Stone has been named and chosen as the new face for Prada Infusion d’Iris. The supermodel, born in Netherland, has been riding quite a wave since the beginning of this year, or was it last year? What we are trying to say is that this girl is everywhere nowadays even pulling endorsements from a certain pop star (ahem, Madonna). Well, the material girl is not getting any younger amidst all the botox and probably plastic surgery.

More on Paris Fashion Week

As we continued from our last post, we were talking about how Marc Jacobs showed off non-sexy but voluptuous dresses and this was not only his idea as several designers also opted for the conservative look rather than showing designs that show off everything in a woman (psst, vulgar). The ones whose shows we witnessed are Dries Van Noten, Dior’s show, Yohji Yamamoto and Junya Watanabe, and lastly, Yves Saint Laurent’s show. In these following shows, inspirations were drawn from military army, 1950s silhouettes and old-fashioned florals, there were designs that looked made for outdoor sports and not forgetting the cut-and-curve tailoring. We also found ourselves liking the makeup and hairstyle done in several shows including the Rochas, Nina Ricci and Giles Deacon shows.

The British too ruled at the Paris Fashion comprising of designs from the likes of Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo (Celine), and Hannah MacGibbon (Chloé). Their collections included well-cut out designs, not so modern but sensual is an array of colors from beige, grey, black to navy. With that, we end the Paris Fashion Week summary and until the next fashion event, stay fashionable!
