Summer is heating up everywhere and more so, it is heating up the fashion ramps of Paris. We can already see it, for the summer the most likely trend would be Androgynous silhouettes and sensible sandals as in the sandals that Jesus wore. These sandals were presented in a more modern way at Paris’ four-day-long menswear collections. For starters, we like the show better than the ones in Milan. This one, even though it’s just the beginning, is nicer and looks comfy to wear. We won’t mind seeing men strolling the streets wearing these designs.
At the Jean Paul Gaultier show, models walked the runway showcasing the new designs set to rule spring-summer 2011. The show opened with good-looking and serious models stepping on the ramp wearing what seem to be postage-stamp-sized towels lounging in a mock hammam. This was a tribute to the late French designer Yves Saint Laurent as he too wore the same style during his days in Marrakech.
